About alex orrelle
I am a UK-Israeli director who started my career as an animator on The Matrix: Reloaded (Warner Bros), then at Pixar on Academy Award winning Finding Nemo and The Incredibles.
Later, my wife Michelle and I founded an animation studio that produced Wile E. Coyote and RoadRunner cartoons for WB Animation, as well as original animation concepts, one of which, The Adrenaline Lemmings (co-created by JP Vine) was optioned by Paramount Pictures in 2013.
After my role as Animation Supervisor on Yogi Bear at Warner Bros., I directed the South American animated feature film, Condorito, based on the famous comic strip.
Since then I served as Creative Consultant and Story Artist on the Academy Award Nominated Klaus (Netflix) and Head of Story and Animation on Space Jam: A New Legacy (Warner Bros), among others.
I believe directing is 50% casting, no one person is the source of all good ideas, ideas are never born fully formed, and AI is a tool, not an artist.
I was inducted to AMPAS in 2025 and I’m represented by Tarik Heitmann at Kinetic Media. I provide development and directing services while crafting new stories for film and TV.
